Supercharger Induction Kit

Recommended Posts

Guys

Thought I would share with you some pics of the induction kit I am having made up for my TTE Supercharger. Its not finished yet and its final length will be determined during the Supercharger install. An engineering firm over here is helping me out. I cant wait to hear what it sounds like once shes hooked up to the Supercharger.

Anyone have any views on what would be the best cone filter to use?

and where is cheapest online to buy cone filters?

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out Owen, the sound is fantastic with this fitted, the supercharger is so much louder with this on, you really hear her screaming, one thing I've noticed since taking my air box off is that you can hear the sucking noise more prominently but overall the whine is quieter!

Looking forward to getting it back on the car as she's laggy as chuff at times without it :o

Look good so far Owen.

Do you not need connections for air flow sensors and breather pipe etc?

I seen one on Gords (GRiM) motor with all these bits sticking out of it.

I would recommend the HKS dome type filter.

The look good

are available in different colours

are available in different sizes

give massive air flow.

Here's a couple of pics of mine with the turbo

Your car looks ace mate, really looking forward to seeing it while we're all stood around with a pint of Guinness :)

The HKS filters do look nice but in tests they were found not to be great at filtration compared to the Apexi's and K&N's of the world, in fact I have a big HKS filter sat downstairs, who wants it?

Needs a new foam but I need to get shot!

Think it's bigger than the one in your pic there buddy!

Want me to send it you Owen?

yup owen is going with a seperate aluminum catch tank with seperate breather filter.

As for costs, well lets just say if you ask owen for the other half of his 1 meter section it will leave you plenty of change in your pocket from £60!!!!!

there are always more than one ways to skin a cat!

Yup it is a Greddy one but about the 15mm bit a haven't got a clue :duh:

It look well smart.... kinda "race spec" if ya know wat I mean. The heat mat gives the same effect but the one thing that is for definate is that everything is functional and not just boy racer "tacky and usless".

Well alright the anodised fittings are just for show :shifty:

sorry :offtopic:

that is buttons what you are paying for that compared to some I've heard of!

BTW do you not still have to by-pass the air inlet sensors???

you just make a small hole and seal it in with instant gasket (after extending the wires)
