Unlocking Car Doors

I locked the car earlier today. Tonight I went to open it using the key fob and nothing happened. I tried the spare key same thing. On putting the key into the lock the alarm started up.

Any ideas what is wrong

Thanks for the replies - you were probably right. After relocking the doors on my wife's vauxhall run about the Lexus is now OK

You should always lock your car! By locking your car you are also arming the alarm. Fair enought they may smash the window but that would set the alarm off and possibly draw peoples attention to the criminal act taking place. Thieves hate two things! Lights and Noise!!

A car is possibly the second biggest investment an individual will make in their lifetime. So not to secure and protect that investment is crazy! Unless your name is Roman Abromovich that is!! Then you dont give a toss!
