Active Suspension

does anyone know if speedo conversion on the MK1 aristo affects the active suspension or anything else. My speedo conversion chip has switched off my cruise control and milometer. but i get the speed in miles (just saving up for a new chip from Protech). but it seems am getting a knocking noise on the driver's side as i go over uneven roads and humps. when on motorway or good road no noise can be heard.

has anyone experienced this before.

Morning Syd, the knocking is more than likely the ball joint mate, best way of telling is to grab the top of the tyre and rock back and forwards, if you feel movement, it could be down to the joint, if it was the bearing, you'll here a grinding noise mainly when you go round corners.

As for the active suspension, the speedo conversion doesn't affect this, to know if these are working, select normal mode on the ECT before you start the engine and then when you got round a corner, you'll feel the car roll, if you select power while the engine is off, you'll feel a difference in the way the car handles round corners. Also the suspensions slightly lowers once you go over 80 MPH, more noticable on the motorway because of the straightness, this works in either normal or power modes.

Hope this helps
