they found the problem with my car,,

its the throttle body

Good news they found the problem.

Do you know how they isolated the issue?

Whats wrong with the throttle body?

its good news but its costing 1400 euro,

there was a too much air going through it then the springs broke and the throttle body has to be replaced hopefully it hasnt damaged anything else

the springs broke?

to much air passing through would be a build up of carbon on the lip of the butterfly plate.

the springs broke, hmmm how does that happen, the only spring is the coil spring by the throttle linkage quadrant, it would take some serious action to break that spring, it only moves through a small degree of movement.

sorry i did not see your post earlyer same thing happend my altezza the spring broke in the throttle body leaving it stuck full open car reved its head off then shut down any way fella that was doing the work got a spring out of another toyota throttle body of some kind and fixed it so dont think it will take that much to sort yours out 1400 is a bit much to be handing out over the head of a broken spring hope you see this before you go ahead with it
