Bluetooth Phone Query And Other Questions

New GS430 - every time I go to transfer the phone book from my Nokia 8800 it loses the Bluetooth connection - also I cannot see how to transfer all my entrys ?

Works fine in all other ways.

Should the Lexus door plates illuminate ? (the RX loaner did)

The switches on the wheel have the poorest illumination ever seen - normal ?

The ML HiFi wont do surround - read the manual - any tips ?

Can you get mudflaps / spats for it - cant be sure and the sides get filthy fast

my nokia also disconnects when I try to send phone book - I am speaking to Lexus Bracknell's Bluetooth guru next week so will update if I get a solution.

I have a new GS300 and a Nokia 6230i. I have to transfer contacts one at a time using the Send Business Card feature, during which the hands free temporarily disconnects. Its a pain but at least its a one-off exercise. I am told there is no way of sending the whole phone book with this phone - maybe yours is the same?

From reading through LOC .... it would appear that NOKIA does not support that feature.

Sony Ericsson does however ........

One option could be to put your SIM into a Sony Ericsson phone (maybe a friend has one?) and then send all of the data. The salesman very helpfully did this when I picked my car up.

Over xmas I put my sim in a Sony phone and it worked just fine - suggest all owners do this as its quick and hassle free.

Now do the Lexus kick plates light up or not......... one day the truth will be known.

They do on the SC430 but not on my GS430.
