I have just received my porter polisher from Autopia and i have cut the plug of to replace with the new one to use with the transformer and cable i have purchased from screwfix, could someone tell me which wire is live, neutral or earth,

1 wire is black the other is white.

go careful with these machine polishers guys, it is very easy to burn through the paint, make sure you keep the panels wet (its messy) and dont go near the edges

use g3 farecla first and a 3m finishing glaze afterwards. then you are ready to get some protection on there

These are random orbit polishers, Mr. Z, not the cheapie angle-grinder-with-a-foam-pad versions that Halfords sell!

A good tip for those who aren't prepared to pay for a decent polisher, though.

The USA flat 2-pin plug needs to be removed and a UK plug installed (US black is live, white is neutral) the cable is double insulated so no earth connection is required
