Yes. You can fit 20"s on the LS400 ( I just happen to have a set of 20"s with tyres on for sale!) They are the ones on my RX.

I wouldn't go lower than a 40 profile or the ride would be to harsh for such a heavy car.

Regarding how far you could lower the car would have to be checked once you had a sample wheel fitted.
