I had a look at powerbulbs and they were £11.45 for main and £10.45 for dip, I think....

I've just received my order from PowerBulbs. :D

Bought 2x9006 @ £12.25 each on 25th Nov.

box arrived on 27th with the 2 9006s and 2 free fog bulbs (Osram H3 All Season halogens) as well!

Anyone know whether the original fogs are worth changing for the Osrams?

I'm hoping they are the dips, although the packaging clearly indicates it can be used for dipped or main.

I'm going out to fit them in a few mins, so I'll report back then.

OK, several bruised knuckles later...

9006 is definitely dipped for the IS200.

Drivers side was a piece of cake, disconnect the loom, replace bulb and reconnect.

Had a bit of trouble getting to the passenger side bulb due the windscreen washer filler tube being in the way, but I managed to get the bulb out with the connector still on, replaced the bulb and put back the same way.

They don't look any different yet as it's still daylight, but I'll post my thoughts tomorrow if anyone wants B)

You can tell the difference if you just changed one bulb (easier at night)

my original idea was to just change on side with the new dipped bulb and the new fog bulb they sent for free, and then take a picture and put it on the forum, but it's brilliant sunshine at the moment, and I was too impatient to leave just one bulb changed :D I might swap them over tonight and take a photo anyway...

On a similar vein, how do you get to the fogs? It looks like you have to take the plastic splash guard thingy out of the wheel arch... anyone know if that's correct?

I think ther is a bolt at the side by the air ducts + the dirt shiel has to be pulled back

I am getting my IS on friday, any news on the group buy for the bulbs.

I want the whole set.

I contacted Powerbulbs.com at the end of last week,basically all LOC members will get a 10% discount off their order

where do the free W5W side bulbs go chris on the IS200. Are they the side indicator bulbs? If so how does one detach the plastic housing

They are the side/parking lights. I think you only see them on, on their own if you turn the ignition off with the ligths on. Personally I didn't notice any difference replacing them with the bluevision one's.
