hello

Im new to LOC but was an active member of the SXOC

and would just like to introduce myself !

I have been driving a Nissan 200sx with around 300 horse for the last 6 years

till I was on a bit of a drift mission one evening late last year and had an incident involving 3 little trees !

resulting in the sx being a total loss :crybaby::crybaby:

now im looking at getting an RS200 and will be looking to add a few mods

and I will be looking to the LOC for some advice !

im currently in the process of getting paid from the insurance company

and will be looking to import a RS200 soon !

I have made contact last night with Altezza Scot with the interest of getting the car imported through him

and am just waiting for a reply

so Hello to everyone and looking forward to getting involved with the LOC

Welcome aboard Merlin.

There is a chap on this site who would most likely be your quasi-bible for what you are wanting your future RS for. Have a look out for posts by "monster-mat". I think he is building some anti-chr1st of a drifter atm.

Good luck with the future aquisition!

if you wanna do drift you will need to get a manual, as regards Importing through Scott, you may wish to do some reserch

1 member has been left with a car he cannot register

you may want to compare notes with IanF

thank you MacRS200

just out of interest im looking at spending 12K

I want a RS200 manual Z or L edition as factory as possible

what sort of year and mileage am I looking at ???

Most, if not all, manual Tezzas are around 99/2000 due to problems in getting a model report after changes to the SVA I believe. As for mileage look at average for a 6 year old car so 50-70K. £12K should get you what you want, if you can find one.

Bit more on the Model Report

Wot I ment was that with a max £12K to spend you will get what you want within the your budget, not that you would have to pay 12K for a 99 Tezza  Mine is a 2000 and I paid £9K a year ago with 60K on the clock

As for a newer one, 03-04, like rocking horse poo because of the SVA I would imagine.

could be

took me 4-5 months to find the one I have payed over the top for it

but when you off set the price of a TRD kit, spraying and 50+hp over uk cars :P

I think it was worth it :D

i have seen a 2001 car in ireland in a manual !!

If it's the one on the CARZONE site, then i already drove it.....Dealer was saying it was the TRD version but it's got 16" gold wheels...It does have some extras though......front and rear struts, fibre glass bonnet , Manifold looks different too, Rear high spoiler, Windows are very dark.....too dark, can't see out back window...

That price is allowing for the dealer to pay the VRT(sick Irish tax) which is 30% on a 2litre.....so if your are exporting out of ireland you could knock that off IMO, also he was willing to knock off a few pound for a straight cash deal.....!

as i said a few posts up, Ian F has a manual altezza, maybe speak to him, i know of a white one in Ireland for sale, white is definatly the best colour, only the really cool peeps have white ones

For real Mate,

White is the best colour. Mines is for sale at the moment. But i think myself that i will get more money here in Ireland for it. You'd be wasting alot of sterling buying a car here after getting vrt'd. Im looking to purchase either an evolution 7 or 8 in white. Either in England or Ireland.

Welcome to the club mate and hope you find what you are looking for.

i have PM'ed Ian F but have no reply as yet !!!

i have been following your thread on throttle bodies interesting reading

im still considering taking that route as iv done the forced induction bit with my 200

i really would like a near standard car (power mod wise)

but would consider a TRD version though !

out of interest what has been done to yours to gain 50+ horse or is that the TRD pack ?

Noel

it was the one on car zone wasn’t keen on the gold wheels and they did look a little small

30% :o

I thought the cars on there were expensive !!

did make me think perhaps i should go get another 200 sx !!!

stodwyer

I have been considering white and sticking a carbon bonnet on it

but im not a great car cleaner a

im a bit more of a use and abuse type person !!

what I meant by 50hp more was, I was prepared to pay over the odds for a RS when putting it next to the IS because you would need to SC or TC to gain 50 horses and that would cost lots

what about a IS300????
