Hi guys,

I've waiting so long for the Pro-lex audio/video adaptor now and it seems like it may never arrive so I am going to built one for the Aristo.

It wouldn't be quite as advanced as theres (4ch etc) and will have 2 inputs, one for PS2/DVD/Nav and the other for reverse camera.

But the bits should be cheap (the convertor is £130/140) and assuming I can find all the wires, easy enough to install.

Would there be any interest in me detailing this conversion as I've tried to find something/anything like this since I bought the car but to no avail.

I just want DVD in the car for the Summer.

Anyone remotely interested will be happy to know that I have so far got the video working on the TV input of the Aristo.

You need an NTSC player (DVD, etc) in order to do this but most are compatible these days.

I've decided after conversations with Luke (soarer.tv) to go after a composite video rather than RGB/Sync.

Just looking for audio now, will let you know when I'm done!

Hi guys,

Well its not an easy job at all, let that be said!

I've removed the factory Japanese nav, plumbed in the audio off the DVD.

I've done this on an Aristo with TV, every other Lexus is different (inc the Altezza) so this won't work on anything else.

I didn't use a convertor in the end, just hard wiring.

One key thing here is that you will have to lose your radio in order to make this work. This is a turn-off for most I appreciate. You could get this to work by runing a switch if you like, something I may do later on if I miss the radio.
