Alternative To Prolex Aux-in

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody came across an alternative to the prolex aux-in. There are currently out of stock. I am trying to connect my iPod to my is200 sport.

Or does anybody have any other ideas for connecting my ipod. It has to be a wired solution.

thanks

Conor.

I am wanting to connect an MP3 player to the car. Where and how does this prolex box connect to the car? I have looked at the back of the unit and there is no AUX input so im puzzled as Ive seen the pictures of the box here: -

http://www.geoffh.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/audio/index.htm

So my questions are..

hows does it connect to the IS200 headunit?

how much is this item and where do you but it from? - i cant find it on sale anywhere and it isnt on http://www.prolex-uk.com/

How to most people install the system in their car? do they drill a hole in the part of the dash where the heated seats and traction control buttons are and place the MP3 plaer in the compartment behind the gear stick?

have you seen Alpines new head unit, check it out at alpine-europe.com. It comes with the cable to connect to ipod which can then be installed where ever you want in your car. The ipod is then contolled via the head unit. looks like a nice piece of kit.
