There was there around Christmas time but thats since been resolved.

the postal service aren't allowed to strike so they have 'go slow' days/weeks or most of them just pull sickies. This has the unfortunate effect of creating a lazy atmosphere in the workforce and has ruined the postal service in this country almost beyond repair. It can take up to 3 days to get a letter to a business 10 miles away the average is around 2 days.

received this , in regard to an eBay item i was expecting

If you have not received your item it will have been posted 1st class recorded delivery but was held up due to a post strike .It has now ended Friday 17.02.06 .

Belfast sorting office is flat out and a lot of extra staff have been brought in.

So there was a strike after all but in Northern Ireland not the South.
