Hi there, my window switch has packed up (hopefully its not the motor). Unfortunately i cant tell as its the drivers window. Im ok to have a look and clean up the switch if thats what it is as ive already tackled this problem when i had a Lotus Esprit. However im not sure how i get the switch unit including the wood surround out. Ive had a screwdriver in there but dont want to break it. Anyone know the best way to get to it?

Im hoping to do this today as ive got to go through Dartford tunnell tomorrow and dont want to look a right plum at the toll booth!

Cheers

Hi,

The drivers side door electric control window/door locking panel should just lift out at one end on the other end of the panel it is held in by plastic slotes that are part of the panel...Its all plastic so go steady, the lift out end is spring clipped in,sorry was last year when i worked on mine so i cant remember which ends which.
