Won't See Me Over The Weekend, Neither...

Recommended Posts

I think Chris Shipley was pining for me in one of his posts :D

Won't see me over the weekend neither. As a lifelong Paul Weller fan I entered, and won, a competition on Radio 2. The prize was watching Weller do a live broadcast from Maida Vale studios, for Radio 2. It's being broadcast this Saturday at 3.30pm, so listen in and think of me........ :yahoo:

There's only about 30 peeps invited, so I'm REALLY honoured!!

Jammy git :P

When did Radio 2 turn cool?!?! My memories are of my folks having Radio 2 on permanently and it always seemed to be the Cliff Adams singers. Scarred me for life....

Do you prefer Paul Weller now or when he was in The Jam?

Ssshhhhhh! It's NOT cool (well, that's what I keep telling the missus!). They play some pretty good stuff, some of the time. Forget Jimmy Young, though!

Weller, imho, was The Jam. My formative years were spent listening to The Jam and, listening to it now, it's still excellent stuff. I wouldn't like to choose between the two, really, but he get's the best applause when he plays old Jam numbers!

Should be good............ :yahoo:

I've started listening to Radio 2 again - Steve Wright in the afteroon brings back so many memories! It's just not quite as mad as it used to be - Remember Mr Angry? "Ehh!?"
