I had the bonza 63,000m. service with everything except transmission fluid inc. timing belt done in October.

Advised re. brake disks need changing at next pad change.

Failed MOT December with both front flexible hoses showing very large bulges!

Do you think they should have spotted this.

Who do you think I should complain to? Is there a top honcho who polices the dealers for quality?

They did not accept my 15% discount on parts as a gold member but allowed some on the service charges.

When I complained to the office and responded the the service quality enquiry I mentioned the discount problem and the lack of reply from the dealer. I got no reply from anyone even now!

Who should I go to?

Could the hoses have been damaged when the service was carried out? Seems strange that they'd both go, unless the same mistake was made on both sides!

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and let them sort it out rather than going over their heads, but if you're not getting a response to your query about such a dangerous issue (affecting both brake circuits!) then Lexus GB may be the next step.

Did you take pictures of the faulty hoses? Might be handy, if I was writing to Lexus GB I'd enclose a copy.

All very well the dealer doing what they want.... but it is big damage to the brand.

Your next buying experience will be based on your last contact with Lexus, your last service.

If you purchased a poorcar or lesser car, and the service was fantastic, every time, you would probably buy another.

Such a short sighted view of Lexus GB.
