Engine Swaps For 94 Sc400

my friend recently blew up the engine in his 94 sc400 and we're now trying to find out what we can do about this. ive heard rumor that the sc300 engine is the same one in the non turbo supra... if this is true it would lead me to believe that a supra turbo engine would be a direct bolt on to the sc400. can anyone give me any info on this? anyone have any other suggestions on what engine to throw in there, and where to get used low miles engines?

you cold try and find a LS400 being dismntled

yes the sc300 does use the same engine as the GS300 and yes you could fit the supra's 2jz-gte twin turbo block in there,however there will be some major things you will need to source.

for eg.

ecu & loom

engine mounts

coolant pipes

all the engine paraphanalia

etc etc

you could however allways try and source a 4.3 litre engine :arrrggg-matey:
