New Child Seat

I've got our nipper a Britax seat. Can't remember model, but it's one of the ones that lasts from about 9 months - 12 years. It converts into a booster seat. It's black and grey so blends in nicely with my car interior B)

The coolest car seats I've seen though and that come really high in the safety stakes too are Riccaro kiddie seats! You can get them at Halfords.

Most kiddie seats are ok in the IS200 but if you are in doubt, go to any Mothercare store and they will let you try out the seats and advise you of the best ones to go for in your car.

seen a nice recaro one

I had the Recaro one. It has ruined the leather on my back seat. Get a cheap one mate, I'm using the £20 one from my wifes car now and it is fine.

The Recaro one is now in the wife's Escort, doubled it's value I think.

Cheers .......... bs

We've got the Brittax Club Class extra that M&S did (don't why it was exclusive to M&S but it fits and blends in with the black interior - oh and its supposed to be pretty safe tooo !!!!).

Putting this seat in in the standard way seemed to be a bit unstable so I loop the seat belt through the clip only on one side and loop through the gap on the other side (difficult to explain I know - but this method was recommended by the Brittax people). (Also, phone Brittax helpline - they give a list of all the seats that fit into certain cars).

how?

Stretched, and marked the leather in 4 places. The four corners, where the Recaro contacted the seat, strangley enough. Recaro told me that their seat is specially designed so that it does not have any pressure points ! <_<

Sure !!

I'd recommend the Maxi-Cosi Priori... lots of colours (even dalmation print :D ) and fits nicely with no damage to the back seats. Only minor problem is if it is reclined, my boy rests his feet on the back of the front seat, but I guess this would happen in most cars.

Try http://www.kiddicare.com/ they have a nice stripy blue one for £60 and a smart grey striped one for £75 (look in Shopping|Car seats 9months-4 years) with free shipping. I've used them loads of times and have never had a problem with the company or the products they sell.
