Welcome......to the club :D

Hi everyone,

I'm a former Chieftain Tank Crewman (British) and have yearned for a Lexus for many years and now my dream has come true with an immaculate 1995 white GL300 with GS300 styling. I have a white body with a grey lower section, spoiler, really dark courtesy glass 255/40/ZR19 alloys (just had to buy two tyres at £100 each delivered and new).

I look forward to finding out more about my lovely machine and of course joining in the forums.

Best wishes,

Abd Al-Latif.

Hi my name is Pat and I recently acquired a 1999 mk4 LS400. even though it has over 100k on the clock it is still very much a pleasure to drive, and hopefully will be for years to come.

thanks to Mr Morse and chips229 for your responses to my post on the wheels and tyres forum - a complete technical ignoramus like me can start looking for new wheels for the car. Advice much appreciated.

Hello there!

I bought my Lexus IS200 the day before yesterday (25th March). It's a black sports version. Completely standard apart from 18" chromes and low profile Avon Tyres which were fitted by the previous owner.

I took it for a long drive yesterday and it's everything I hoped it would be.

Hope to see you lot at some events!

:)

Welcome - I see you're just up the road from me.

We tend to have a few club meets in the area, next one probably sometime in May. Keep your eyes on the Club Meet forum.

Hi all,

I've been 'lurking' for a while. Now I've picked up my IS220d I feel I can now post.

As I say, an IS220d + MM + Rear Parking Sensors, Cadoxton Slate.

Bought from LEXUS Manchester as an ex demo with 1700 on the clock and in perfect condition. A great deal and a very good sales team. Frantically reading the manuals now.

I travel from Manchester to Liverpool daily (M62). Wave if you see me! :driving:

Cheers,

Ian

Hi,

This is my first post here, I recently added a Lexus IS200 (Altezza) to my collection of cars. It’s a nice copper colour.

It is a really nice car to drive, and I'm saying that while owning an Honda NSX, Cosworth Escort, Lotus 26R and about 4 other cars.

I'm really glad I bought it.

I would like to find a workshop manual (PDF, CD, paper, anything) for it. I do all my own work on my cars and have already repaired a few things on my IS200.

I have searched and it does appear there is a manual somewhere.

Anybody have any idea where I can find this? I have already searched on Google and in this site and haven't found anything.

Also my car has those nice 5 spoke wheels. But they need to be cleaned. Is there a way I can use an attachment on an electric drill for example?

In the boot is the original one, never been used, beautiful! It has shocked me into trying to clean my wheels. A first for me. I’m generally too lazy to clean my wheels.

Hi all,

I've been here a few days and already been in contact with Dangerous Brain (been admiring his Aristo since I spotted it on TIF) about my problems  .

I own a 1994 GS300 LPG converted thats pretty standard, done 106k, but started pinking like mad after I put Optimax in it. It's getting "diagnosed" at Lexus, Canterbury this week and I'm hoping it's a case of resetting the ECU - If not, I'm hunting for a replacement head or arguing with the LPG converters (It's still under warranty!).

Either way my next task is a full service and a valve lube system fitted.

Managed to get this one after being talked out of :tsktsk: buying a 1990 LPG converted Celsior that had every toy imaginable, and even some that the seller didn't know it had.

Neil
