Smoked Rear Lights And Eyebrows

OK,

I'm pleased to say, I just got my Black chrome headlights  B) (Took 3 weeks!!)

Good news is they arrived safe and sound. Well packaged too.

Bad news is I got stiffed £34 from customs, even though they were marked as a gift!!

That make's the total purchase price £334 inc delivery & import duty.

Now these items are available from your Lexus dealer.

However, they are on a 4 - 5 week delivery time, and they cost £431.68 inc vat.

GOLD members can get them discounted to £366.

That's a £30 difference.

Therefore I'm asking if you can get them from your Lexus Dealer albeit £30 dearer, would you want a group buy set up, and run the risk of damage, lost in shipping etc?

Call me crazy :duh:, and naive (or inspired :hocus-pokus:), but couldn't a place like Tint-R do the headlamps, meaning you a) wouldn't have to replace them B) get em done a lot cheaper than buying em from an importer? You could obviously decide on the tint factor too. Would this work?

Good idea Asam, but already asked them last year when I had my tints done. This solution of tinting lights is not a long term one, because the tint he uses (lumar) is for internal use. Good thought, but not a goer........ :)

Didn't no Lexus did black chrome headlights.

They don't do black chrome but you can get headlights with mat black internals (apart from the bulb reflectors). These were meant for the JDM so do not come ready for electric headlight level adjustment. A few members have them fitted :)

Part number ask Mr Shipley or Zee.

Ahh thats why i asked coz i've got the JDM's,and mine does have the level adjustment on it :winky: think i'm the only one that i know of that has it :P

What did you do to them Scorpion to get the level adjustment?

I used the rear casing of the originals and the internals of the JDM's then after re-sealing them plugged in the level adjustment :winky:
