Hi All,

I'm new to this rather impressive forum you lot have going here.

Anyway on to the daft question, I have been looking to get myself a MK1 GS and have been to see a few total dogs so far - anyway I was wondering if there is any reason not to go for an Aristo if I can find one (not one of the screaming nutter ba**ard vertex versions as my pockets aint that deep). I dont have a problem driving an import as I have had surfs n skylines for years, just wondering if there are any real problems to owning this particular import?

Many thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully replying :winky:

Cheers in advance

Neil

There's no advantage over having the Aristo over the UK GS if your not wanting the twin turbo, it doesn't have any extras, infact alot don't have leather, although probably lower mileage. GS's will be easier to find and probably a bit cheaper.

Depends on what your budget is, my Aristo TT cost me £1800, with 80k on the clock, I think I was a bit lucky though.

lucky whats your lottery numbers this week.

I thought there was no difference apart from the badging and interior on aristos oh and the 2jz-gte on the twin turbo model

Hi and Welcome to the LOC :)

If i was buying and the choice was a mk1 GS or mk1 Aristo TT id go with the Aristo TT everytime..

Theres very little difference in mpg between the models.

If you shop around for insurance theres very little init as long as theres no mods to the cars.

The GS will have leather seats etc,the Aristo it was a option so most are cloth trim

(after having leather seats in cars ive owned in the last 9 years..leather looks nice and is easy to clean, but in the winter leather seats are freezing when first sat in and in the summer burn your legs/***** when the cars been left in the sun for hours so cloth is a nice change :D )

You can buy/get most if not all parts for both models no problem,as long as you can afford the Lexus prices

With the GS uk car you will/should have some if not all the history,no history with the Aristo(import)so its a case of buy it as you see it.

The main reason i went for the Aristo was because its so quick in standard spec,i think if id have gone for a uk GS a few months down the line id be looking at bolt on bits to make it go better then wish id bought a Aristo

At the end of the day its your decision :)

Hope thats the sort of answer you were looking for

chips..
