Rattle From Rear Brakes

While driving with the window down the other day and driving slow i noticed a rattle sound comming from the car when driving over bumpy ground but when i applied the brakes it seems to dissapear it like the pads rattling around in the calipers could anyone shed some light on what is the problem or how to fix it.

This is a very common problem caused by the floating part of the caliper rattling on it's pins. It's completely harmless (and very annoying) - the way to fix it is to supply a very small amount of copper grease to the pins.
