They're the standard 17" off the IS250. Just as well it states they're Dunlop tyres or I'd think someone had nicked mine, as I live in Gloucestershire, although away at the mo. :o

Thats the reason they are selling them because they are *** awful.

Well that's your opinion.

Nearer the truth would be that someone ordered an SE-L with 18", but as explained to me when I asked, the 17" standards would also come with the car as it's a dealer option in the UK and you get nothing back on the original rims.

I'm still fitting the Spyder 18" on the 250, but I'll put the original 250 17" on my IS200. The old 200 rims will be fitted with winter tyres.

Quote "They have been removed from the vehicle & upgraded to 18"."

If these were taken off the vehicle there would be two 225x17 and two 245x17 wouldn't there as the front and rear tyre sizes are different. They are on mine anyway.

The actual rim sizes are different,,they're 0.5" wider on the rear. The only IS250 that has the same all round is the IS250 AWD, fitted with 16".

Tango,

Are you now riding on 18" as I will be getting my set @ the end of May & I am curious to Know the effect on ride i.e. if the ride on 17" is,say,80% firm would you say on 18" the ride moves to 90%?

Thanks!

No, I haven't made up my mind yet as to go for the OEM Spyders as shown above or another make. I have driven the IS350 with the 18" rims and didn't really notice a lot of difference apart from the steering seemed to 'track' more....follows the imperfections of the road. Not really an issue, but may be uncomfortable to drive in the 'slow' lane of the motorway....another reason to stay out of it :D

Tango,

Yes-on the Lexus GB web-site:I am new to computers so cannot attach picture!

Tel

The Lexus GB site shows two options, Baransu and Hoshi. The Baransu are called the 'Spyder" in the USA and are the same as the pic I posted earlier.

The 18" "Hoshi" appear to be the same type as the 17" I currently have on my SE-L.

Or have I missed something? :)
