Has anyone ever had one fitted or know of the top of their head the price of one of these chips.I hear its impressive. How long to approximately map and customise would one reckon?maybe a group buy on these perhaps.Any other products similar to this?Dastek site is informative, but no prices.

I bought a second hand chip from an IMOC member for £150 and had it fitted and mapped at Noble Motorsport in Chesterfield for around £370.

On the MR2 this gave me a 36bhp increase

I recommend that you consider your long term strategy as the Unichip may not be the best solution especially if you are considering larger fuel injectors etc.

The Unichip is perfect as an entry level ecu upgrade, and we do have considerable experience tuning the is200 with this ecu.

Quite rightly, Dastek are quite fussy about who they appoint as official installation agents. No part time companies or establishments without a decent dyno on site are accepted.

DUNCAN had one fitted to his supercharged is200 (THE GREEN ONE) you could try sending him a pm :D

so will an apexi s-afc2 do the same job as a re mappable chip or is this the the f-con and will it have any positive effect on a N/A car? :duh:

beleive it or not,the auto pulls harder and longer than a Manual. This is why im scared of the transmission blowing.you plant your foot and the charger does the rest.

More so than the manual?

Yes...but applies more to boosted auto's -

With an autotranny with a VB upgrade and torque control the car can be held static on the brake while still on the noisy pedal, thus boosting up to 10psi before letting rip
