Hi,

I go for the best value for money, anythings better than pure water.

chips..

well i was toying with the idea of using triply de-ionised water instead of tap water. wonderd if the screen wash additive would work any different with this???

is the stuff you're using any good? what is it etc?

I just use the cheapest car plan stuff! Never really thought about screen wash that deeply! ;) LOL

nah, me neither

just put my new wipers on today and then thought about using de-ionised water plus adding the screen wash and if the loss of ions in the water would affect the screen washs' effectiveness...........guess that's the researcher side of me coming out!! :)

Note to self - stop thinking so hard about things :shutit:

The theory is sound, I know that professional window cleaners are using this more and more. They do not add any detergents and get quite good results. You get some awful water spots with it at first though. It takes a few washes to get the windows "conditioned".

And unless you add solvent/detergent to remove road haze, it might just prove too much for de-ionised water to shift.
