I wonder if everyone sees the same colour when they look at a colour. What i mean is when i see blue, i know what blue is, but does it look the same to someone else. Perhaps thats why different people like different colours, perhaps the best colour looks the same to everyone no matter what it's called

Had that thought many times myself. Does everyones brian turn the signals from the eyes into the same perceived colour. My brain could "see" blue the same as your brain "sees" green but we both call it green because we have been programmed to call it green :D

For some reason I've seen a couple of papers on this, I forget how it was tested, but other than in colour-blindness situations the differences in perception were only slight (<1% sort of thing). i.e. My green is your green, not red... ;)
