hi all,

every now and again when my car is ticking over, i can hear an additional higher pitched ticking noise. ive only just notived it as its actually warm enough to have the windows open :hehe:.

the thing is the noise stops when i did the cluth. i dont think it is the clutch (touch wood) as it doesnt seem to be slipping or anything but i maybe wrong.

i found a thread on it where Chris.S had the same problem, but there was no update on it when he said he was going to get it checked out.

does anyone else have this noise? can anyone shed any light on what the problem is.

cheers all

Sounds like the Thrust Bearing is a little worn, nothing to worry about as long as you dont mind the rattle until you need the clutch replaced then have it all done at the same time and save on the labour charge :winky:
