Bubbling Noise

Hi all,

Todays noise is a bubbling sound coming from behind the glovebox ( i think it's coming from the Airbox thingy )

Turn the key till the red lights come on in the dash and the bubbling seems to start, do i have a leak or something...?

Haven't been using the airconditioning in a while 'cos it's gone real smelly, worse when it's been raining...

get this noise with all the switches either on or off...

Where do i start...... should i strip out that airbox behind the glovebox or is there anything else i should try first....

Ive just started having the same problem. Did a search and found this http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...topic=26455&hl= i will be giving this a try over the weekend to see if it will cure it.

Yes i think i was on the wrong track....... noticed that the Rad cooling fans were coming on in slow traffic since this noise started.....

Bugger.... was just out with my torch and i seem to have a coolant leak somewhere...... a lot of pink powdery stuff around the top edge of the overflow tank

Coolant level is just above the low level, i have a timing belt change due next week and he might have to take the Rad out, will change coolant as well regardless,

would it be ok to just top it up with water till then ?

As long as the leak isn't too bad you should be grand, just keep in topped up & will be grand...
