Rear Speakers

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I have recently changed my original head unit and now my rear speakers sounds like crap! I now want to replace the rear speakers as they are 2ohms. I have taken out the original speakers and noticed they are four wires to connect to the new speakers. Which two do I use for my new speakers??

If you're new speakers have only two wires, and the old ones have four, its best to test them whilst the stereo is on. Touch the old wires onto the connections on the new speakers and try combinations until you hear the sound come on. Im not sure whether the previous owners of my IS200 put new speakers in the rear, as I only had a red and white wire for each speaker. So when I uprated the speakers it was a like for like switch.
