Surely a normal policy covers most of this, and if you take out the Legal Protection then that covers all the third party losses and such like.

Also would this voluntary thing allow you to have it repaired where you want? I doubt it.

They make their cash from using companies like Swift to hire out a prestige car whilst yours is being repaired. I got a Beemer whilst my Lex was fixed, and the hire company charged 2k for one month's hire to the other insurers!!
