Slipping Clutch

I've replyed to Chandlersa's topic on this but wanted other opinions.

Mt IS200 (like his) slips the clutch now and then and sounds like its an auto!

When I bought my IS200 it was reported (by AA) to have small oil leak near the gearbox. I ignored that. When I took it to Lexus Reading with the usual Lexus problem - i.e judder in 1st, clunk in 2nd, now the slip, they said there's nothing wrong. The clunk is normal, the judder is just me. The mechanic put it into gear and pulled away with the handbreak on- the engine stalled as normal. But it still slips, only in 4th gear when I go up hill. I'm now wondering if its just oil on the clutch. Has anyone else had this? If so, how much to fix it and did you get a new cluch anyway? The car's done 62k, I'm told a clutch 'should' last longer. Lets assume I do get a new clutch, should I get a straight swap or try a pattern part?

Cheers,

Dops
