DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THERE IS A MAIN CAT AFTER THE PRECATS LOOKED UNDER NEATH CAR BUT IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE A CAT JUST A SILENCER.

REASON FOR ASKING I WANT TO TAKE OUT PRECATS BUT MAKING SURE THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE STILL THERE FOR MOT BECAUSE IF THERE IS A MAIN CAT THAT SHOULD SORT MOT OUT OK,JUST WANT TO FREE UP ENGINE A BIT I KNOW THAT THE IS200 BOYS ARE DOING IT :whistling:

Yes there is a pre and main cat.

thanks for that i take its the main one that the down pipes go into one comes out as one before splitting in too for the back boxes if that makes sense ;)

its just when you look at it there does not seem to be a shield round it as you get on other cars must be a jap thing.

the whole exhaust is slightly different on the series II however the cats are mainly in the same place.

The precats are on the exhaust manifold and the main cat is on the downpipe/first section, just under the vehicle slightly back from the engine bay.
