Is200se Boot Button On Key

i gather when i press the button on my key the boot is suppose to open i have read some post that say the boots only open a little bit coz of the springs but mine doesnt move at all if i do it right next to the boot cant hear a click or anything does any one have any idea what this could be thx 4 your help. its a 1999 is 200se

Try holding the button down for 3 seconds

Also if that does work holding it down for 3 seconds it is still worth spraying some WD40 on all the locking mechenism and the in the lock itself. Doing this prevents it from seizing up due to most people using the key fob all of the time
