Just Failed My Mot

Had it in this morning, failed on both ball joints. Left the car with the garage to sort. They've qouted my £230 for parts, labour and MOT.

My car is lowered by 35mm with 18" alloys. My car failed on worn ball joints last year too. Is it normal for them to wear in a year because of my car being lowered?

those lower ball joints are very easy to change. 3 bolds per side and some work (if you have the right tools). did both my self last year. i paid about £50 per ball joint.

I guess I was so eager to get the car back on the road I just left the car at garage for them to do. Soon as they are done its off to buy my road tax online.

booked in for my MOt in a couple of weeks time, i think mine too will fail on the ball joints. driverside front is making a sort of popping sound as if its slipping when i put full lock to the left on
