Oh well - another flawed genious is off with a red, probably for the last time...at least at International level.

That could have killed Matarazzi - a broken sternum is a serious injury. I don't think a £2400 fine like Rooneys is even a joke!!

What's that - 5 minutes earnings for Zidane? I hope it's more like £240,000!!

Couldn't believe what i was seeing..... very sad for the game

I wanted France to win till that moment........ Italians players spent most of the game "rolling" on the ground like spoilt children..... equally sickening....

Think they should introduce a min 5 minute sideline stay for the "medical experts" to access any "injured" poser... sorry player

Apparantly Materazzi had said something bad about Zidane's mum and she had also just been taken into hospital and he flipped..

I still think he deserved to be player of the tournament as up until that point he'd had an excellent World cup..

At least his was a proper headbutt for a change not just the pushing your face into the other guys :duh:
