Brake System Warning Light

Just a little confused about the brake system warning light on the IS (the one that comes on when the handbrake is on).

Basically, since changing the rear brake bulbs, this light is illuminated on the dash display along with the rear light out indicator. the brake system warning light comes on the second the brake pedal is depressed.

When putting the standard 7443 bulbs back in, neither of the warning lights illuminate.

i thought the two warning lights were on a different system, but i may be wrong.

has anybody got any ideas on this??

cheers

I thought Mike had sorted or was sorting this with the resistors?

yup, this hopefully should be sorted with the resistors when they arrive :D

my question was really to do with why the brake system warning light is on.....i.e is it because it thinks the brake lights are out?? :duh:

Have some patience Rob! :D

Let's try the load resistors before we go chasing chasing red herrings

yea i know mike :D

i just wanted to make sure there was nothing else that could be flagging this up. guess i'll just go back to my corner now :blush:

Not sure on lexus but both warning lights on other vehicles (BMW/Land Rover) can mean your number plate lights are out
