Tte Rear Lip

Recommended Posts

Does the rear bumper need to come off to fit the rear TTE lip? Is it an easy fitment?

I'm just trying to gauge how much work is involved in fitting the rear TTE lip. Also the TRD side skirts..

Cheers

Shouldn't need to off the rear bumper mate. I changed from a TTE lip to a TRD lip and it was a straight swap.

Be careful with the TRD skirts though, make sure your bodyshop guy is on the ball as the seal tends to peel loose if not properly applied. :o

Cheers mate. As for the seals I dont think the bodyshop guy will want to use them anyway as it can some times look like too much of an aftermarket job.. He wants to blend them in and spray but I've not got the time and money at the moment. Maybe in the future

Ive seen an IS on the A50 witha poorly fitted TTe rear lip,it sits at an angle, and im sure someone told me for a good result to take the bumper off for fitting.Gord has the tte lip

TTE lip you dont need to take the bumper off, if its going to put on with bodyfiller then it WILL crack and look cheap in time :o

TRD you can fit without taking bumper off, but to do the job right using all the fitting kit, you will need to take the bumper off :D on other way around this to use fitting kit 100%

Maybe a few bits for JAE :winky: You still want those eyelids spraying?

Yup .... I'm still undecided on them ... so maybe spraying them may sway me

I'm taking my car over next Saturday so let me have 'em before then mate. Either PM me or get in touch if you see me on MSN :winky:
