Cd/mp3 Player Help

my is220d has the stnd music system....popped in 2 discs full of mp3 and it plays ok..but cant seem to get the random selection working properly...it only plays tracks in the folder radomnly..can it play all discs/folders radomnly? if so how?

You have to either press and hold the RDM button or press twice, I can't remember, check the manual or try it.

You can play randomly across one disc, but not randomly across all 6 disks.

i have tried presing and holding the rdm button but it only appears to be radom playing tracks in that foldaer not the whole disk

Press the button once to play the folder randomly. The "rand" symbol shows.

Press and hold the button for all folders randomly on that disk.

The symbol changes to show the disk also.

I have the same system and it does work.

You cannot play randomly over all disks but I would not want that. The changes between disks would be very long.

hmm.. i must have a glitch.....i push and hold the button until it beeps..it has the rand illuminated and underlined and also a disc icon....but still only plays from one folder....i havent actually let a whole track play whilst testing this merely advancing to the next track (i have tried several times/several adnvances)..so this might be causing the problem :duh:

There is your problem then. If you go to next track manually with controls on stereo or steering wheel then it advances to next track in the folder not next random track.
