Hi andy,

I had the alarm go off once on its own, i had a cover on the car and it was a really windy night, so assuming that withthe real strong gusts it set the alarm off, otherwise no probs at all.

funny when the cat jumps on the car and te alarm goes off and the cat is looking around trying to see what the commotion is about... Still on the bonnet!

by the way.. does anyone have a solution on how to stop cats walking on your car.... they make one mess of my paintwork after i have spent hours cleaning and polishing it

Ritchie,

Yes it is as I bought it from the lexus dealer.

Why?

A

Well, at the shop where I work we sell a lot of alarms, so maybe I thought I could help you but I do not have a clue what system lexus is using.

I would go to the dealer, I think it is under warrenty.

If something depresses the centre of the roof slightly then that sets off the alarm, eg washing it, cat, cover in wind etc. I guess the internal sensor is in the light fitting in the centre of the roof on the IS and the flex in the roof is enough to set it off.
