It appears to be that the first gen of IS200's have all started developing a fault on the CD player. We don't see many of them because of faulty units, however in the past week alone we have done three. Is this something that other people have been experiencing? The biggest issue seems to be the lead, or the fact that there isn't one! It seems odd that they make a fascia but no interface lead!!!

A new stereo from Lexus is £1500

To repair and old one costs £420 through lexus.

Is it worth us making our leads that just plug + play? would people have a use for this?

its a common problem on all early IS', fortunatly mine hasnt played up yet, but its only a matter of time

Like i said, as a shop we rarely see them however we have seen loads lately, all with the same problem!

I am onto my third stereo now, all had the ERR3 message.

When you say lead, you mean an ISO adapter lead? If so I wouldn't have thought it'd be that simple because of the external amp on the SE and Sport models. Autoleads already do an ISO adapter for the S model (without the amp).

I'm sure there would be some interest if something could be made for the SE and Sport people.

i got some leads of sorts, well more like extension leads that you cna then wire into without messing with the stock wires..
