it allways amazes me that people do this sort of thing

what pleasure do they get out of it ?

in my mind i think that they must be fairly intelligent people, they have the knowledge, why dont they put it to good use instead

When I used to be into this sort of thing it never felt as good fixing the root cause of the problem as it did exploiting it and hacking a website to pieces!

Eventually as I grew out of it I got more kicks out of fixing other peoples problems!

The thing is nowadays you get a lot of script kiddies who don't actually really know what they're doing and they just run hacking tools against a webserver to see if it has any vulnerabilities, the people who write these though are incredibly intelligent, the kiddies who do most of the hacking are just retards however.

I can't explain the feeling you get out of a successsful hack but it definitely makes you feel euphoric!
