Covering Up

 Share

Recommended Posts

I've got the next week off and am determined to finally get the car cleaned, polished, waxed, etc.

I understand that I should leave 24 hrs in between layers of SG and wax. My question is whether it is better to keep the car covered or exposed to the elements in between layers ? Does it make a difference. And if I do leave it in the open, whats the best way of getting rid of the inevitable new gunk which collects in between layering.

Many thanks.

Adrian

No need to wash....

If it's just surface dust use a detailing spray with a microfibre cloth

Or hoze/watering can it down (provided it is just dust), Silicon blade/Microfibre dry it and re-apply next coat. If you leave the dust on you'll risk swirling it...

PS to answer your question you are better off covering it....saves soooo much time and funnying around!
