Help Needed

Any help much appreciated as I am a complete novice when it comes to technical issues.

I have an LS400 1999 and replaced the Battery 3 months ago with a new approved heavy duty one from my

local Lexus dealer.

Went out this morning and car completely dead - no lights other than the flashing security light on the dash.

It would appear that one of the kids didn't completely close one of the rear doors overnight.

Would this be enough to completely drain the Battery?

Can I simply recahrge it?

Do I need to replace it?

Or is there something else I may be missing?

The reason the Battery was recently changed was for the same symptoms although that time no doors had been left open etc

Hi

I would charge it up and get the Battery checked even if the door was left open it shouldn't completly drain the Battery. halfords/motorworld or even lexus will do this for you should be free.

You might have a problem somewhere else thats slowly draining the Battery and if something like the door was left open it just finished the Battery off.

Craig is right, don't leave the Battery in a discharged condition to long or it will start to sulfate up Bad thing for lead-acid Battery.

Not fullycharged or a faulty Cell.
