E-shift Lockdown

Are any 2JZ-GTE drivers familiar with any method of "locking" the autobox in either 3rd or 4th, so that it can be taken right through the rev range to the redline, without kicking down?

OK....had some feedback from our US friends on this:

On the earlier boxes there is a physical electrical connector, which can be removed to allow the engine to work right up to the redline in 3rd or 4th.

For the later model boxes (IS300, MKIV Soop), there is a pin on the ECU which allows the kickdown to be overridden and in 4th gear (only) to work right up to the redline. We don't know which pin it is yet, but an ECU diagram should reveal all. :D

We'll pass this information on once it's been established - will save auto drivers a load of money in RR time.

In terms of the inability to hold in 3rd or 4th through to the redline while in manual (e-shift) mode, yes.
