Low Performance

Recommended Posts

Noticed something odd yesterday.

normally i fill my lexy up before it hits the quater mark on teh petrol gauge (with things the way they are in the middle east cant be too carefull). But yesterday i let it run down. and i noticed a massive decrease in performance, realy didnt pull as well. Once i filled her up it was fine again. Any one else notice this?

I've always run the tank down to the bottom before filling up, and I've never noticed a decrease in performance when empty.

I have heard of people saying that when you keep topping up, you've got that old fuel always hanging around, but to be honest, with modern fuels and cars, that sounds like nonsense

I noticed that when I started priming the engine before I fitted the S/C the car seemed more responsive.
