Good Sat Nav

whats a good sat nav system to run from a car computer

and i would like to have the speed camera bit on there to but its not a must had the mo i just want the sat nav on there

Best to look on

http://www.mp3car.com for lots of info. Many people use Destinator but I don't personally trust its routing. InfoMap Navigator is supposed to be very good too, but no 3D view.

thanks for the reply i have had a look on mp3 and found a free one which is even better its freedrive i have not loaded it up yet but i am going to have a play tonight its more for the speed cameras that i wont it for as i dont drive that far very much

FreeDrive is basically Destinator with a flashy skin, it does look very nice, and the speed camera warnings work well, so you should be happy! ;)

Can we see some pics of your car puter then ? :D

if you go into the ls400 bit then down to computer in at last i have put some pics in there :D

now its in i can start connecting it to my main comp and finger print sanner on there to and i am hoping to wire up my remote start alarm next weekend and wire it into the compter as well for warming up in the winter just have to find out how to do it

and i will let u know if i have any probs with freedrive

the freedrive program is only a touchscreen bit for the Destinator sat nav progam so i am still in need of a sat nav program

Older builds of Freedrive actually included the Destinator software, they may have had to change it because of legal reasons. I'm sure you have the full Sat Nav, you just require a UK Map for it to work properly, which you should buy or can be found ;)
