Replacement Keys

Recommended Posts

When I bought the car I was given 1 key (Grey 2 buttons). After reading through pages of posts on LOC on this subject. Am I LED to believe I don't have the master key?

I've bought a replacement 2 BUTTON NEW BLANK KEYLESS REMOTE KEY SHELL CASE from http://search.stores.ebay.co.uk/auto-dude.

What I'm wondering is can I buy a new key with transponder and programme it using the method I found on this site without the master key. Or can I get it programmed, from an independant locksmith with the facilities to program keys, without the master key to swipe to obtain the codes (can they use the key I have to do this). The info I found on LOC doesn't clarify. Some say you need the master key some say you don't. Alot of the posts which say you do are circa 2004 early 05.

Any help would be appreciated

thanks in advance
