Took my car up the strip today.

1st time since I fitted the induction kit and have lost 1/2 a second on the 1/4 mile.

Car was serviced last week and a new Battery installed.

Re-set the ECU after half-a-dozen runs and it made no difference so it will be coming off tomorrow.

I even took out my golf clubs and spare wheel (which I ran with the last time) to lighten the load.

15.88 is still my best time. Anyone else got any times for a MkII 300 sport?

Remember that although an induction kit may allow the engine to draw more air.....unless it is effectively shielded/insulated then the chances are that it will be drawing more HOT air. HOT air = reduced performance.

Do you have a picture you can post up of your intake install?

I had a similar problem on my IS300 but cured it with a DIY heat shield and insulation.

Yeah mate.....there's a pic on Maneesh's thread on his kit.

I have installed a shield at the cone but guess it's just not good enough. It's a bit tight for space but as I've said elsewhere, it sounded worse, so was always a bit skeptical about it's ability.
