Any of you IT techies i the forum know why my PC locks up when I insert a DVD or CD in the drives? Has happened twice now, first time after loading Norton 2006 so re-formatted, loaded all the programmes again and installed McAfee antivirus instead of Norton...guess what.... Same problem :tsktsk:

250 Gig SATA hard drives, SATA DVD writer and IDE CD writer. Drives work fine until either of the anti virus programmes are loaded. Really getting frustrated with this one  ...anyone got any idea what's causing it?

Sounds like a problem in the registry. PM me your email Terry and I'll send you a workaround that may cure it.
