Thinking of purchasing a shredder for home, but have no idea what to go for. Looking to spend upto £50.

Heard rexel is ok?

Any ideas, or do you just burn all your documents :D

What documents? Why leave a paper trail dude! Cash is king!!!

Yes, Rexel should be ok. If you buy a shredder, make sure it's cross cut shredder for good security.

You've been watching the news and getting anxious!

See linky ebay guide to paper shredders

Had a Rexel cross cutter for a few years now, has been excellent :D

Call me paranoid, but I shred every statement after a year....... don't know what's been going on at home to scare people :o but it's good practice as far as i'm concerned :winky:

I bought a cross-cut one that was on clearance at B&Q, funnily enough bought it whilst my GS was in for a service!

Just took a look at it, it was made specially for B&Q. Only cost me about sixteen quid! Cuts into 4x40mm strips, so pretty good unlike some of the other cheap ones that claim to cut 5mm strips but look more like 7mm.

Go for a cross cut shredder rather than a straight cut!

I just went to Argos and bought a Fellows for around 35.

3 yr waranty and works well.

I bought a Fellows cross cut, P45C I think, and it is cr@p.

It is forever clogging and the alleged facility to shred multiple sheets is misleading. Give it any more than 2 sheets and it virtually grinds to a halt.

Just waiting for it to burn out so I can justify another one.

If the business is paying...get the best you can :)

If you are buying it, then go to Argos, those prices look more :)

Mine isnt on there. but its a 7 page shredder (ok it does 4-5 ok anyway :) )
