sounds harder than it actually is................

1. remove back seat

2. remove rear C pillar covers

3. remove rear cover...disconect brake light and speaker wires

You have to pull the bottom part of the chair up on either side. You can then slide the bottom half out. The back part is attached by 3 or 4 bolts, undo these then slide the chair up. Take the headrests off before you try to take your seat out. the shelf and C pillars should pop out.

On the old speakers you have got a pair red and black going to the larger speaker this is your mid bass you then have what i think was pair gray and blue these are you mid range now you can use just the gray & blue cables to power your new speakers if you wish but you will be lacking in the bass depatment.

so here are some segestions

1 conect you new speaker to the gray & blue cables and see if you like the sound be shure to tape the other up!

2 conect you new speaker to the red & black cables and see if you like the sound be shure to tape the other up!

3 solder the red & black stright on to the speakers mid bass part and the gray & blue to the mid range part this will then basicaly have the same type of speaker as you have now

last of all after all that it proberly will not sound any better

No liability taken for damage

Maybe it'd be better to wire out the crossover and let the new speakers perform the crossover function. I think Lexus fit el-cheapo passive crossovers anyway (about a penny's worth of capacitor was in mine before I upgraded them)

No you cant do that the crossover is built in to the amp on the IS200 you will still get bass with my option 1 try it and see what you think i have put infinity kapper on the high out and the sounded pretty good but the standard sounded better.
